Shue Yan University students bonding with Hertford College peers and faculty

We were delighted to co-host a summer programme in 2025 with Hertford College, University of Oxford, from July 6th to 19th, 2025! The Centre for Global Engagement led 25 enthusiastic students on an exciting two-week study tour at Hertford College. The students gained fresh perspectives on cultural, historical, economic, political, and social aspects, all while developing their academic and communication skills. Most importantly, they created unforgettable memories in the beautiful city of Oxford!

Exploring Architecture and London’s Treasures

Oxford’s iconic buildings are more than just structures—they are stories frozen in time. The students joyfully immersed themselves in the rich history of the city’s landmarks, wandering through enchanting centuries-old halls and charming cobblestone lanes, truly experiencing the essence of Oxford’s past. A memorable highlight was their visit to the National Gallery, where they had the wonderful opportunity to connect with incredible world-class art collections. Each step felt like a delightful journey through history!

Cherished Moments and Building Friendships

Beyond lectures and tours, some of the most treasured memories came from connecting with Oxford students! The students formed wonderful friendships as they shared laughter during wobbly attempts at rowing on the river, enjoyed friendly ping-pong competitions, and played fun board games together. These moments created bonds that transcend borders and truly enriched their entire journey!
