Means-tested Subsidy

Undergraduate students receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Means-tested Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for the Post-Secondary Students (Means-tested SSEBR) of the Education Bureau.

With Turkey as the destination and 15 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme for this summer school programme is HK$14,000. The amount for an eligible student is calculated by the approved level of student finance (in terms of percentage of full grant) to the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme. Each student will be eligible for assistance under the Means-tested SSEBR only TWICE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received.

If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form after you receiving the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host institution, and before your departure.
Non-means-tested Subsidy

All full-time and local undergraduate students are eligible to apply for Non-means-tested SSEBR

With Turkey as the destination and 15 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme on this summer school programme is HK$4,200. Each student will be eligible to receive the Non-means-tested SSEBR only ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong.

If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form after you receiving the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host institution, and before your departure.
