
Hanyang University is ranked 159th in the QS World Rankings. It offers an Academic Course Track and a Cultural Course Track for students to explore. In addition to academic courses, students can learn about K-beauty, K-pop, the Korean language, and Korean culture. The summer programmes also include free activities such as a K-pop music concert and a visit to Lotte World theme park.

Submission of Group Booking
- Step 1: Check and ensure that you fulfil the admission requirements.
- Step 2: Submit an application here to the Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) by 1 April 2026.
- Step 3: The CGE will nominate you to Hanyang University ERICA after internal screening.
- Step 4: Complete the online application to Hanyang University ERICA and settle payments on time.
- Step 5: You will receive the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) once the payment and application are approved.
- Step 6: Apply for the related Visa once you receive the LoA (if applicable). Do remember to allow sufficient time for the visa application.
Credit transfer possibility for undergraduate students
Eligibility for applying for credit transfer
- Full-time undergraduate student at HKSYU
- Obtaining a CGPA of 2.5 or above
- Applied for the Hanyang ERICA Summer School via Group Booking
- Please note that credit transfer is NOT available to Year 3 entrants (大三入學生) and students in the Social Work major.
Steps for applying for credit transfer
- Step 1: Check the potential courses for credit transfer here. Only the courses mentioned are eligible for credit transfer.
- Step 2: Students apply for credit transfer by indicating their preference in the online application form for Group Booking.
- Step 3: After receiving the applications, an internal screening will be conducted by CGE. CGE will send the related information to the department for pre-approval.
- Step 4: After the departments’ approvals, successful applicants will receive a Credit Transfer Form from CGE.
- Step 5: Students fill in Part I & II of the Credit Transfer Form and return it to CGE.
- Step 6: After completing the summer school and receiving the transcript from the host institution, please fill in Part III of the Credit Transfer Form.
- Step 7: Send the completed Credit Transfer Form along with the course outline and the transcript to CGE. The documents will be forwarded to the Departmental Coordinator for final approval and the Registry for further processing.
Remarks: Credit transfer is NOT guaranteed. Final approval rests with the departments and the Registry, subject to the validity of credit transfer and course equivalency. Students can transfer only one course each summer across all summer programs.

| Means-tested Subsidy Undergraduate students receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities – Means-tested Subsidy on Exchange to “Belt and Road” Regions for the Post-Secondary Students (Means-tested SSEBR). With South Korea as the destination and 14 to 28 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme for this summer school programme is HK$6,500/9,000. The amount awarded to each eligible student is based on their approved level of student finance (as a percentage of the full grant) up to the maximum subsidy. Each student will be eligible for assistance under the Means-tested SSEBR only TWICE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received. If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form after receiving the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host institution, and before your departure. |
| Non-means-tested Subsidy All full-time and local undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities –Non-means-tested SSEBR: With South Korea as the destination and 13/14 to 28 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme on this summer school programme is HK$1950/2,700. Each student will only be eligible to receive the Non-means-tested SSEBR ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong.
