Preparation
Accommodation Arrangement
Depending on the partner university, you may be offered on-campus accommodation or receive assistance in securing off-campus housing.
Please note that it is your responsibility to arrange and confirm your accommodation. Be sure to read all housing agreements carefully before signing, and fully understand the terms and conditions of your stay.
Insurance Requirement
All exchange students must provide proof of insurance coverage to their host institution. You are responsible for obtaining comprehensive travel, medical, and health insurance that covers the entire duration of your study abroad.
Your insurance plan should include, at a minimum:
– Coverage for travel-related issues
– Personal accident protection
– Medical expenses (for both accident-related and general health needs)
– Hospitalization
– Emergency evacuation and repatriation
Please be aware that insurance requirements may vary by host country or institution. Some may require you to enroll in national or university insurance schemes. Be sure to check and comply with any specific guidelines provided by your host institution.
Transportation
Please ensure that you do not book any flights or train tickets until you have received official acceptance from your host institution and have successfully obtained your student visa.
Before confirming your travel arrangements, consult with your host institution to verify:
– The earliest date you are permitted to arrive (this may depend on dormitory check-in and orientation schedules).
– The latest date of your stay, including final exams, dormitory check-out, or the institution’s recommended departure date.
Travel Documents and Visa Requirements
Before departing for your exchange, ensure that you hold a valid passport or home return permit, along with a student visa if required by your host country. Be sure to review the specific entry requirements set by your destination.
Your passport must remain valid for at least six months beyond your intended stay and should cover the entire duration of your exchange program.
Begin your visa application process as soon as you receive your official acceptance letter from the host institution. Make sure you understand the application procedures and prepare all required documentation in advance.
If you plan to visit other countries during your exchange, check their visa requirements and arrange for any additional travel visas you may need.
