On October 23, Hong Kong Shue Yan University had the honor of welcoming Dr. Ruiqi Wei, an Associate Professor of Marketing at Emlyon Business School in France, which is ranked 63rd globally by the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2024. Dr. Wei delivered an insightful talk titled “How do Digital Platforms Drive Innovation?” at HKSYU.
The seminar commenced with warm greetings from Dr. Monica Law, Head of the Department of Business Administration, and Dr. Alice Chung, Director of Global Engagement, along with faculty members from the Departments of Business Administration, Economics and Finance, and Applied Data Science.
In his presentation, Dr. Wei shared his expertise on the transformative role of digital platforms in fostering innovation across various industries. His engaging discussion highlighted key trends and case studies, prompting meaningful conversations among attendees about the implications of digital transformation on business practices.
Following the seminar, Prof. Selina Chan, Academic Vice President, and faculty members from different departments explored potential collaborations with Dr. Wei during a luncheon.
