- International Unit will work with the Hall Management Unit of HKSYU to arrange on-campus accommodation for all exchange students. Please use our virtual tour to visit our residence hall.
- If you do NOT need accommodation on campus, please let us know as early as possible.

*The first week of the semester is the add/drop period. It is important for the students to arrive HKSYU before the add/drop period.
● Submit applications before the deadline of the home institution

The staff-in-charge of the home institution nominates student(s) to HKSYU via the online link before the Nomination Deadline.
Remark: To play safe, the staff-in-charge may send an email to studyabroad@hksyu.edu
Nominees are expected to submit online applications to HKSYU before the Application Deadline. After reviewing the application materials, the International Unit will issue a letter of acceptance to those successful applicants.
● Nominees are expected to apply for a student visa as soon as possible.
● Nominees (except those from Mainland China) can submit an “Online Application for Entry for Study in Hong Kong.”
➤ After completing Part A of the online visa application, instead of “Submit,” please email screencaps of Part A and the relevant supporting documents to the International Unit (studyabroad@hksyu.edu) for us to review. Here is a sample paper form for reference.
➤ Applicants who do not have sufficient funds in their own bank accounts can ask their parents to be their financial sponsors by uploading a Declaration by Financial Sponsor together with their passport data page under “Applicant’s financial support”.
➤ All the supporting documents (e.g. student’s valid travel document, official transcripts, bank statements) must be provided in English or Chinese.
● Nominees from Mainland China should submit a paper application – Student visa application [ID995A] (Sample application for reference).
➤ Applicants who do not have sufficient funds in their own bank accounts can ask their parents to be their financial sponsors by uploading a Declaration by Financial Sponsor together with their passport data page under “Applicant’s financial support”.
➤ All the supporting documents (e.g. student’s valid travel document, official transcripts, bank statements) must be provided in English or Chinese.

a. Collect your e-Visa (students are not recommended to purchase air tickets before
receiving their visas)
b. Get medical and travel insurance coverage
c. Make flight arrangements
d. Receive pre-departure information from HKSYU
e. Enroll with HKSYU
