Submission of Application

- Step 3: Submit your application to Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

Credit transfer possibility for undergraduate students
Eligibility for applying for credit transfer
- Full-time undergraduate student at HKSYU
- Obtaining a CGPA of 2.5 or above
- Applied and paid for the SJTU LEC International Summer School
- Please note that credit transfer is NOT available to Year 3 entrants (大三入學生).
Steps for applying for credit transfer
- Step 1: Students submit the application for credit transfer here by 19 June 2026.
- Step 2: After receiving the applications, an internal screening will be conducted by CGE. CGE will send the related course information to the department for pre-approval.
- Step 3: After the departments’ approvals, successful applicants will receive a Credit Transfer Form from CGE.
- Step 4: Students fill in Part I & II of the Credit Transfer Form and return it to CGE.
- Step 5: After completing the summer school and receiving the transcript from the host institution, please fill in Part III of the Credit Transfer Form.
- Step 6. Send the completed Credit Transfer Form along with the course outline and the transcript to CGE. The documents will be forwarded to the Departmental Coordinator for final approval and the Registry for further processing.
Remarks: Credit transfer is NOT guaranteed. Final approval rests with the departments and the Registry, subject to the validity of credit transfer and course equivalency.

| Means-tested Subsidy Undergraduate students receiving means-tested student financial assistance from the Student Finance Office (SFO) or whose families are receiving Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities – Means-tested Subsidy on Exchange for Post-Secondary Students (SSE). With Mainland China as the destination and 19 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme for this summer school programme is HK$9,000. The amount for an eligible student is calculated by the approved level of student finance (in terms of percentage of full grant) to the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme. Each student will be eligible for assistance under the SSE only ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong, irrespective of the amount of subsidy received. If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form after receiving the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host institution, and before your departure. |
| Non-means-tested Subsidy All full-time local or non-local undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the Subsidy Scheme for Exchange Activities – Non-means-tested MES. With Mainland China as the destination and 19 days in duration, the maximum level of subsidy for the Subsidy Scheme on this summer school programme is HK$2,700. Each student will be eligible to receive the Non-means-tested MES only ONCE throughout their study in programme(s) at the same level of study in Hong Kong. If you are eligible to apply, please submit your Application Form after receiving the Letter of Acceptance issued by the host institution, and before your departure. |
